Everyone has a different perspective on AI, and that’s okay. Some see it as the dawn of a new era, while others worry it might be the beginning of the end for certain jobs. Personally, I don’t think AI was meant to replace us but rather to enable us to be more efficient. Time is our most valuable asset—it’s the one thing we can never get back. So, why not make the most of it by being productive in ways that truly matter?
Why AI? Because Mundane Tasks Don’t Deserve Your Time
Let’s face it: we all have those moments when we know exactly what we want to say, but formatting the email or putting the right words together becomes a tedious task. Or when you’re staring at a blank document, trying to align pictures, choose the right colors, or format tables for the umpteenth time. It’s not the gathering of data that’s tedious (though we’ll talk about that later); it’s the alignment, the perfecting of the wording, the adjusting of margins. These tasks, while important, can easily eat up hours—hours that could be better spent on creative or strategic work.
This is where AI steps in, not to take over, but to assist. Imagine creating an outline, feeding it into an AI tool, and within minutes, having a polished document ready to go. That’s not just productivity; it’s smart productivity. It frees up your time and your mind for the things that truly require your human touch.

But to stay competitive, we have to be flexible, willing to evolve with new, innovative tools and ideas. For example, if there’s a technology or AI tool that can save your team an hour a day and only costs $20 a month, isn’t that worth considering? To me, it absolutely is. But, it’s crucial to approach this with a plan—know what you want the tool to do, understand its limitations, and have a clear idea of why and how you’re going to use it.

Ask Questions, Train Your Tools, and Be Ready to Evolve
Before jumping headfirst into any new technology, do your research. With so many new systems, software, and ideas emerging daily, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But you don’t have to know everything—just enough to make an informed decision. Implement tools that enhance your existing processes, not ones that force you to start from scratch.
When you introduce a new AI tool or process, it’s not enough to just turn it on and hope for the best. Ask questions: What do I want it to do? What are the restrictions and parameters? Who will have access? Then, train the tool to meet those needs. Remember, nothing is perfect right out of the box. It’s all about trial and error, asking for feedback, and continuously evaluating what works and what doesn’t.
